2015 Ride Schedule - check back often for new updates!

Saturday, August 29th, 9am, Colorado Freedom Memorial - 16 miles
Start the weekend with an easy ride to visit the Colorado Freedom Memorial.  Mostly flat on hard-surface trails or on-street lanes.

Saturday, September 5th, 9am, Tagawa Trailhead - 22 miles
Explore Cherry Creek trail using the new Arapahoe Bridge connection and visit several of the trailhead facilities along this popular route.  This is an "out and back" course and the overall distance may be shortened or extended based on the whim of the group.

Sunday, September 13th, 9am, Sand Creek "Fat Tire" - 30 miles
Join us for this traditional ride along the Sand Creek Regional Greenway; a soft-surface multiuser path.  Most riders will want to use a wider tire (at least 35mm or 1.5") due to the varied surface.  Note: this ride begins on the Aurora Municipal Center Great Lawn - click here for a map.

Saturday, September 19th, 9am, Ponderosa Preserve - 18 miles
Follow along Piney Creek trail as far as Aurora's Ponderosa Preserve on paved trails.  Meet at Piney Creek Square - southeast corner of Parker and Orchard.  Click here for a map.

Saturday, September 26th, 9am, Cherry Creek Farmer's Market - 26 miles
Celebrate the start of Fall with a scenic ride to the Cherry Creek Mall.  Take along a few coins for mid-ride refreshments and maybe a pack to bring home fresh veggies.

Saturday, October 3rd, 9am, Confluence Park - 35 miles
Enjoy another ride from our traditional route list with a ride to the Platte River and Confluence Park including a mid-ride stop for refreshments at the REI Starbucks.

Saturday, October 10th, 9am, Fairmount Cemetery - 15 miles
We'll bring our riding season to a close with an informative tour of Fairmount Cemetery including new narration of historical facts about the cemetery and its residents.

Saturday, October 24th - 9am to 4pm - Veloswap
This isn't a ride but rather a commercial plug for the "world's largest consumer bicycling and sports expo."  Visit their website for more info.

Thursday evening rides!  5pm (note new time) at Peak to Peak Taproom

Stop by Peak to Peak Taproom (adjacent to Treads) for a relaxing evening ride.  These are "show and go" rides with no designated ride leader or route.  There are several nearby trails to be explored and afterwards Joy and Gordon Mckennon invite you to enjoy refreshments with $1 off your first pint.  Click to visit the Peak to Peak website.

Unless noted above, meet at Treads Bicycle Outfitters, 16701 East Iliff Ave, just West of Buckley Road.  Click here for a map.  Ride pace is family oriented, helmets are required, dress for the weather, and remember to bring water, sunblock, etc.
